Play solo starts straight away, no internet needed.
Host on Wi-Fi on one device; friends on the same Wi-Fi tap Join on Wi-Fi. Allow Local Network access when iOS asks. Up to 4 players.
Left thumb moves, drag the right side to aim (2.5D) or look around (first person). Big button jumps, crosshair button fires.
Pinch to zoom the 2.5D view; zoom right out to see the whole arena.
Stand next to a downed teammate to revive them. After each wave, tap Continue.

Can't see a friend's game: both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi, and Local Network must be on for Overrun in Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
Low frame rate on older devices: use the 2.5D view.
